hesketh out marsh .

A good selection of birds today , around 30 little egret , 20 golden plover , 40 lapwing , 3 greenshank , 3 ringed plover , 5 heron , 5 cormorant , 4 avocet , couple of unidentified small waders , reports of a spoonbill this morning and some dotterel last weekend .

I went last Saturday mid afternoon (when the tide was out - big mistake), there were Teal Wigeon, gulls, Linnet, a Kestrel and 11 Little Egret, but no sign of the hoped for Spoonbill or Little Stint.
