I finally saw a kingfisher!

Post by Hewitt03 »

Along the RIver Ribble next to Brockholes Quarry. It hovered for a bit over the river and caught a fish and then perched for a while on a riverside shrub.

It was too far away to get a quality photograph, but I still got him!

On the way back to the car, I unsuspecibly walked past a wasps' nest and I was attacked by a mob of wasps. The stings still hurt now.

It was worth it because I finally saw my first kingfisher!

I spied your bird yesterday evening along the river and got a couple of record shots. I'm going to try again sometime. Chris.
