Birds seen/heard - 2 Raven, 6+ Carrion Crow, 4 Magpie, 4 Skylark, 1 Common Buzzard; Blackbird, Chaffinch, Coal Tit, Blackbird, Pheasant and Tawny Owl heard in the plantation; Dipper, Treecreeper, Goldcrest, Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Robin, Mistle Thrush and Chaffinch in Lead Mines Clough....

Birds seen/heard - 15 Teal, 4 Mallard, 2 Great Black-backed Gulls, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 10 Oystercatcher, 1 Cormorant and one first winter gull, I think it is a Great Black-backed, but the feather pattern looks more Yellow-legged or Caspian, comments welcome. The Pintail flew off at 10.30, just after I got there and the Pinkfoots shortly after, there were 2 Canada Geese that came in and 2 Curlew that flew over following the river heading south. Great photos Peter, the fungi on the dung looks like an Inkcap species, possibly the Shaggy Inkcap.
