Just had two ravens attacking a magpies nest in the oak tree in our Coppull garden. 5-30pm 11/4/2015.

LBM female wheatear and a single snipe.
Buzzard, 6+ singing chiffchaff very quite otherwise.
Also what seemed to be 2 mandarin flying over big lodge judging by their call.

Poor view of the Shore Lark today 24/01/2015. On the golf course looking into the sun, located behind the Observatory building. Still a lifer for me though.

Spent 20 minutes watching a pair of dippers at their nest site taking leaves and small sticks to the nest. Quick walk to the waterfall and back late afternoon today.

Big Lodge of note were 2 great Crested Grebes, 1 Little Grebe, 8 Tufted duck.

Good views of the kingfisher in the channel catching fish.

4 Teal on the top lodge.

13 buzzards all together soaring above the garden mid morning, and 2 chiffchaffs in the garden.

Chris Yes it was, me and the wife were just on a leisurely day out and got talking to a postman in Ulverston who directed us to the location. Lovely area and well worth a look if you are in that area.
