Well over 3000 Black headed Gulls.
250 Common Gulls.
Very few large gulls: about 10 Herring, 10 LBBGs and 7 GBBGs.
110 Lapwings.

Roughly 2000 Black-headed Gulls this evening, and just small numbers of Common, Herring and Lbb Gull.

Technically just outside the Chorley recording area, but 5+ Common Crossbills by Delph Reservoir SD695162, and a further 3 by Dingle Reservoir SD693144.

Grid ref for Belmont Reservoir is SD672169.

This might fall just outside the Chorley District recording area, but a pair of Gadwall were on nearby Springs Reservoir (SD689147) this afternoon.

Could anyone please tell me where exactly the recording area boundary is around Belmont?

Very little at all in the last few days.

The water level is dropping a bit though, so there could be some waders soon.

The water level is too high at the moment. Last week it started to drop and look good for waders but it has risen again to cover all the mud.

Belmont Reservoir

Hi everyone
This is my first post here, but I bird the Belmont area most days so I will put any sightings on here from now on. Does anyone else on here visit Belmont often?

The last few days:
16th- 2 juv Curlew, 1 Common Sandpiper
19th- 1 Peregrine, 2 Grey Wagtails
20th- 50 Lapwing
