Some of the snow drops which were just in bud on 8/1 by Fir Tree Close have now opened.

2 redwings around holly tree. Other visitors today - pied wagtail, 2 blackbirds , 2 wood pigeon, 2 collared doves, 2 feral pigeons, 1 robin, 3 gold finch, 10+ house sparrows, 6 starlings, 1 song thrush, 1 dunnock, 3 magpie

The stalk is long and scaly not smooth. Also they are growing amongst moss. So I think G.fallax

Many appearing on front garden 'lawn' over last few days like last year. Probably Geoglossum Fallax.

Plenty H.Balsam still flowering. Also a few plants of the following still flowering :- Groundsel, Hemp Agrimony, Knotgrass, Herb Robert, Hedge Mustard, Ridgewort Plantain.

Large patch Shaggy Inkcaps by Big Lodge and also in a field by Birkacre Rd.

Mostly H.Balsam of course. Knotgrass and Pineapple Mayweed on/by paths.
Also Hedge Bedstraw, Teasel, Knapweed (mostly over now), Bindweed, Creeping Thistle, Birdsfooot Trefoil, Water Pepper, White Dead Nettle, Ribwort Plantain
