Thanks for your help. It is true that some fungi books contradict others, sometimes disagreeing over deciduous/coniferous woodland, out of our 4 books only 1 had this bolete included so i knew somebody on here would be able to help. parasitic bolete

found near the watermans cottage going towards hugh bullough this parasitic bolete growing on common earthballs, this wasnt an isolatd case, as there were several within a 50 foot stretch. thanks Phil, had a look today, conditions werent great but when the sun did come out there was at least 4 four spotted chasers including 1 female ovipositing, 2male broad bodied chasers (1 immature, 1adult) & 2 females 1 of which was ovipositing. Several 'blue' damselflies, 3 large red damselfli...
