Hundreds of gulls on the flooded fields , around 200 canada geese along the douglas , 2 snipe and 1 little egret , plenty of mallard and teal on the river .

Just been informed by one of my neighbours of a kingfisher visiting his garden recently, again his pond was completely netted ( been visiting for 2 weeks ).

Just heard pink footed geese over Eccleston heading west during rain showers , then spotted around 20 birds moving over quite low .

Witnessed a buzzard dropping onto prey from a low branch on the edge of charnock golf course , this is a typical lazy hunting technique for the buzzard but very effective also kestrel along chorley lane .

There was some down near to alma wood and a big flock over mawdesley moss .
