Euxton Circular

Magpies and woodpigeons all around. Ransnap Woods: nuthatch and two flocks of mixed tits (mostly blue and lt) also 3 young grey squirrels. Mostly quiet beyond the M6 bridge and through fields. Dawbers Lane: 2 buzzard. Euxton Park: only 12 swallow today, 4 crows and a party of 12+ jackdaws. Millenium...

Thanks for leading the walk Paul. It included a couple of stretches I knew with some I didn't. An interesting circular with a range of habitats. I think I'll do it again.

I had a baby nuthatch in the garden on Tues. It was creeping / dashing along the ground so I wasn't sure if had learned to fly yet.

I've had a male blackcap in my garden every day for the last 2-3 weeks. It's in and out all day.

The redwing were dispersed in smaller groups this week: CE vicarage, Euxton park (fields and woods) and Millenium Green. Lots of hazel catkins. Snowdrops in full bloom.
