A mixed flock of at least 50 Fieldfares and Redwings at Shaw Hill.

At least 27 collared doves at the top of Knowley Brow.

One buzzard being chased away by local crows. (Also two old buzzards spotted at NorthWest Bird Fair- David and Colin.)

This bird was quite approachable, but the goosander kept its distance.

6.15pm. Kingfisher and scores of jackdaws heading to roost.

Great white egret and plenty of waders at the pools.Please help indentify some of them in the Gallery. Can anyone see a curlew sandpiper?

There were six goosander today- five together and one on its own. Also one wigeon on its own.

What birds are these ?
