Surprised to see hedgehog in garden this afternoon (3.45) under bird feeders. Gave it some mealworms and couple of slugs which it mostly managed to polish off before scuttled off after being investigated by a couple of magpies - one had a quick peck but jumped back, possibly prickled face!
