Hi Neil,

She's obviously solitary at the moment, but probably not for long in the present climate.

Hi Chris,

Many thanks for your help, if the opportunity arises I'll try and get some half decent shots of the falcons at Morrisons.

Wags At Pub

These Grey Wagtails for the last two years have had two broods at The Imperial pub and raised several young this year. They have since moved on but mum is still a frequent visitor on the flat roof and allways a joy to watch. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/ad34/Ivan_Lynas/Wags%20at%20Pub/Profile....

Hi Gary, if this story is actually true, it would be interesting to know how this bird met its fate. As you probably know these small falcons are branching out in the UK but are still relatively rare and to find one dead has got to be viewed with suspicion, the very fact that the gentleman who found...

Hi Lee, Just to let you know the Peregrines that where hanging out at St. Georges church and on Morrisons chimney earlier this year have not left Chorley. In recent weeks the male falcon has been very active around Eaves lane and on three ocasions I've personally seen him make kills. However up to n...

Peregrine sighted

At 19:55 on Tuesday 20th April, my wife and I witnessed a male Peregrine take a Collared Dove in mid flight at the top of Stump Lane, near the conservative club.

The Tiercel then flew in the direction of Healey Nab.

Peregrine and Raven at St. Georges Church

For the past five days I have been monitoring St. Georges Church at regular intervals using my spotting scope from a good vantage point in the town centre. During such time I have not picked up any of the birds. I have focused most of my attention upon the Raven's nest itself, in the hope of seeing ...

Re: peregrines.

Has anybody got in touch with the RSPB about the peregrines as I think these birds are going to try and breed and sadly will need protection ,( a nest box on morrisons chimney would be a good start ). On Monday 22nd February I left two voice mails for Carolyn Jarvis, North of England Regional RSPB ...

Please, if you can, find the time to look up to the skies above St. Georges church and Morrisons chimney in the coming days because peregrine courtships displays are about to begin in earnest. Notably, I would be very interested in seeing where abouts the female attempts to breed. I personally am of...
