Two in our garden last night at 21:50 hrs very much alive and enjoying their supper. Two hodgehegs have been regular visitors every night this week so far.

Calm and frosty this morning perfect for a brief ringing session in garden. Trying to catch some of the siskins coming into the garden. Single little egret still present on the lake today also 25 goosanders and 4cormorant and the long staying tuftie hanging out with the lakes mallard flock.

Early am today pair of Gadwall on lake 14prs Canada's and at least 4pr heron on island. Pair of nuthatch plastering up an old woodpeckers hole in the pinetum. 3 further calling males heard during our walk.

One chiffchaff singing in the wood at rear of garden in last afternoon sunshine. Appeared to be ringed. All so in garden 11golfi 6 bulfi 5 siskin and m+f great spot. Single raven over garden

The pair of Mandarin have been on the lake for well over a week now either loafing by the island or over in the N.R corner. Last year the heronery held 6 active nests. And the max count of goosanders was 19 birds

Hi john the same question as I asked ian the other week about his sighting of willow tit did you notice if the bird in question was ringed or not. Several birds have been ringed in the area over the last couple of years cheers andy
