Re: Morrisons Peregrine
Hi Maggie, I'm certainly not out to score brownie points and I've noticed that Len has already made the points that I was going to make to your recent reply and I'm sure we both have something in common in that we both have deep affection for these magnificent birds.
Best Regards
Ivan.

Re: Yarrow Valley Park
Hi Peter, I didn't get around to showing this pic of the female little grebe looking despairingly at her waterlogged nest last summer on Astley Park. I only visited Astley Park on two occasions last year unlike the previous year when I spent alot of time photographing the little grebes. I am much mo...

Re: Migrant Hawker.
My wife and I saw this male migrant hawker settling down in this shady canopy at Leighton Moss on Tuesday afternoon. Conditions were quite cold and windy and it just goes to show how hardy these hawkers are. As I have stated in earlier posts once migrant hawkers settle down for the evening, they are...

Re: Migrant Hawker.
Cheers Len, I quickly realised that migrant hawkers are very accommodating once settled in the early evening sun. I observed a male close up with my readers on, beautiful creatures.

Re: Brown Hawker - Hic Bibi.
Cheers Len, you'll know yourself brown hawkers are not the easiest subjects to photograph and they spend long periods of time on the wing patrolling their territories. I only use a 100mm macro lense at this time and it was a challenge getting close enough to her to make this shot but perseverance pa...

Grayling Butterfly 22/07/14
I snapped this master of disguise on Tuesday evening at Arnside Knott amongst other things. I have never seen one of these creatures before I had to get on all fours to make this shot.
