1800-1920 hrs, over to experience the massive roost, I’d been there last Wednesday without bins just watching and listening. What a noise! Re: Wryneck !

Great photos Len, nice to meet up earlier. I was there 1100-1500hrs, no show Wryneck! From the hill behind the garden at lunchtime did a scan seeing 6 Kestrel concurrently (probably a record for me) although can't guarantee all were within Chorley airspace! One was eating a vole whilst flying, 4 hun...

Re: Interesting info on shelducks .

Last year at Leighton Moss (Morecambe Hide) saw a Shelduck kill an Avocet chick. The Avocet parents were not very attentive, their chicks swimming away, a Shelduck swam over and killed one then swam off leaving the dead chick bobbing in the water.

Re: Bearded Vulture - Derbyshire

The flight feathers are immense, it was like watching some enormous beast putting on a coat when it shook itself. I was surprised how agi...

Re: American Dipper

Thanks for posting this Len, very interesting. A resilient bird indeed, always enjoy watching and listening to them for a while at White Coppice but not sure I have the patience to sit for hundreds of hours watching and photographing them!
