Got a new bike, so I cycled the track from Lead Mines Clough to Hempshaws for starters: Canada Goose, Grey Wagtail, Curlew, Goldfinch, Meadow Pipit, Buzzard, Lapwing, Skylark, Black Headed Gull, Pheasant, Wheatear, Stonechat, Long Tailed Tit, Kestrel, Coal Tit, Nuthatch. Something up with the links but I did get this https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7641/166 ... e562_m.jpg which certainly looks like a wheatear to me... never seen one in a tree before, they're normally atop a bit of millstone grit :D

Anglezarke Moor

Went for wheatear on the dry stone walls but none about. Traipsed towards Old Rachel's and saw quite a few meadow pipits, lapwing nearby, oystercatcher over also. Loads of BHGs flying west at dusk as usual.

Was there this evening, walk round revealed the usual mallards, coots, moorhens, turdidae, plus heron, kingfisher and goldcrest.

Not a lot about, highlights being heron and goldeneye (m) on #3. single gc grebe on drive past watermans cottage. Moorhen on top of Alance Bridge feeding on seed left by visitors. Heron also overhead at Jepsons.

A bit more light this evening so a chance to start counting for me... Yarrow Reservoir Blue / great / coal tits and nuthatches all feeding on seed laid at Alance Bridge. 2 x goosander (m+f) together, who knows if a pair.
