Also singing greenfinch, chaffinch, dunnock, wren plus, of course, wood pigeon.

Fantastic to see yellowhammer and tree sparrow noted Gareth-as I'm sure you know both species on the Red list.

Interesting because yesterday I saw an 'unusual' buzzard being mobbed by half a dozen jackdaws in Little Knowley -it disappeared before I could fully ID but could quite easily have been a red kite, Intriguing at the very least...

Major noisy activity at all the rookeries in the area -unfortunately also large amount of felling of mature trees further down the lane but not ones with prominent nests in them.

Good to see three rabbits in their usual haunt west of the bypass.

Thanks for the update Len -perhaps we should be encouraging the site managers (Chorley Council?) to restore the ponds to more diverse habitats?
