Quickie@YVP

A few very vocal Wrens about. I followed an adult Dipper from the weir, upstream towards Drybones Wood, only to lose track of it and meet a Kingfisher flying downstream towards the weir.

Plenty of Sweet Cicely in flower and signs of recent mole activity on Primrose Hill.

Swans and cygnets all o.k.

The weir was in full, thunderous flow at midday - didn't see any Dippers and only a solitary Grey Wagtail was around. The weir is definitely the Niagara Falls of Coppull! The four cygnets were looking healthy as a proud mum took them for a test drive on the Top Lodge. Tern had the raft all to itself.

Tony, I am revising my theory: I now believe it was most likely to be an alien lobworm.

No sign of baby Dippers at the weir but one adult was alone on a rock only a short distance from the weir.

Well, I've been ignoring my opticians request for a check-up, looks like I might have to pay them a visit.

GREAT pix, Len.
