Wheatear in usual place along Spitler's Edge.
Pair of Stonechat near Higher Hempstead.
Another stonechat and wheater on wall near Sam's Pasture. Also lapwing.

Add 2 red legged and 2 grey partridges to Eyes Lane sightings. Also 2 lapwing claiming a field.

A frosty morning walk: Lots of wood pigeon, magpie, blackbirds & robins throughout the walk. Squirrels everywhere - at least a dozen. The rooks in the rookery on Wigan Road appeared to be claiming nest sites. Ransnap Woods: Blue and great tits, collared dove, nuthatch, jackdaw. Vale of Tranquili...

Black Brook / Great Hill 15.05.16

4 grey wagtails each on a different stretch of the brook. Stonechat. Cuckoo heard along stretch opposite Drinkwaters. Curlew seeing off 2 ravens towards Round Loaf. Stonechat near Great Hill but no wheatear :(
Heapey Mootr area: 3 wheatear.

No better way to be sure of seeing something than setting off without your binoculars..... Walked from White Coppice to Great Hill just for exercise. Decided to come back via Black Brook and spotted a pair of mistlethrush, one stonechat (and probably another 3 but without the bins....) also a stoat ...
