After many years of not visiting this site, I decided to to pay a visit. Yesterday, on the way back from Southport. Saw at least 12. Grey Partridge flying across a field .Not far from Croston Reed Beds.

It was a beautiful autumnal morning, and when we arrived at the reserve, we were greeted by a Red Admiral Butterfly with wings outstretched basking in the sun. 20+ Fieldfare flew over. Birds seen at White Coppice to-day.were, fl. Goldcrests. f. Stonechat. pr. Grey Wagtails. plus 1 Red admiral and speckled wood Butterflys. Just past Watermans cottage on Moor Road I saw fl.Lg t tits. Song thrush, 3 field fare, Gt. spotted Woodpecker. Pheasants. e.t.c. plus a Chiffchaff singing.
