Anyone know anything more about the female Bufflehead just reported on Birdguides as present on 23/3 as "female on pond west of B5253 and north of Holker Lane at c.SD520198 yesterday evening but no sign today"?

One was hunting on the northbound verge of the M6 at 10.10pm tonight. This was north of Runshaw Lane , just over 1 mile before J28.

Worden Park, Leyland 1/1

55 Greenfinch, 15 Chaffinch, 26 Jackdaw, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and 7 Collared Dove around the formal gardens and maze.

Also, 1 Redwing, 2 Mistle Thrush, 1 Coal Tit, 4 Moorhen, 50 Mallard and 3 more Goldcrests in the park.

The Rooks returned again yesterday ! Just 8 this time but with new friends of 2 Magpies instead of the Jackdaw.

Also, 4 Carrion Crows earlier in the day.

I must have a few tasty morsels on offer in the verges and on the drive.

Opened the curtains this morning (just over the border in Leyland near Worden Park) to be greeted with 9 Rooks and a Jackdaw in the front garden ! Both of these are a "garden tick" although are often seen flying over. Occasionally, I do get the odd Carrion Crow in the front garden but never Rook or ...
