Single male Orange-tip this afternoon along with at least 12 Peacocks and a similar number of Small Tortoiseshells. Willow Tit, 2 Yellowhammers and displaying Lapwings overhead was the best of the rest..

I reported 27 Waxwings this afternoon to RBA. They were going to roost in trees in one of the carparks at Wrightington Hospital. It came on the pager as "....SW of Chorley", this, I presume, to give some idea of the whereabouts of Wrightington. Birdguides might have flagged it up as Chorle...
