One or two nests on chapel street which are the 3 i see regularly. Also seen a couple of birds on bury lane withnell and abbey village mill has been a strong hold in recent years, but ive not seen them there this year. Just seen around 50 swifts at the top brinscall over the cricket field. Amazing sight, not seen more than 3 together before this.

Swallow on bett lane this afternoon and a butterfly at the top of school lane (looked like a faded red admiral). Stonechat and red grouse on the moors Thurs morning. No frog spawn this year on sandy lane.

Quite possibly. I hadn't heard about it until after i saw it yesterday. it was on the far bank and not even disturbed by a couple of fishermen on the wall side.
