At the allotments this morning chaffinch bullfinch and goldfinch on the feeder's at our plot buzzard over plots highlight of the day was rescuing a male garden warbler from the large walk in fruit cage on a neighbouring plot. And no bto rings on me oh DEAR!!

The moth trap came out on Saturday night for the first time this year. Not a bad catch Hebrew character common Quaker small Quaker twin spot Quaker clouded drab brindled pug march moth the satellite and new for garden pine beauty also single queen bumblebee (bombus terrestris)was a bit of a surprise

Pair grey wagtail on river kem mill end single dipper also . Singing blackcap near the allotments 4singing chiff chaff heron and kingfisher on the river c great spot nuthatch and treecreeper also see bullfinch heard and two wood pigeons nests both with 2 eggs

Flying Jessie's are usually finer leather and permanently attached to the ankle leathers hunting Jessie's are slightly thicker. and mews Jessie's are usually used in the avairy when the bird is at rest

Jessie's are leather straps or throngs that fit through the leg leathers to help hold and control a falconer's bird prior to release when hunting.
