Flying Jessie's are usually finer leather and permanently attached to the ankle leathers hunting Jessie's are slightly thicker. and mews Jessie's are usually used in the avairy when the bird is at rest

Jessie's are leather straps or throngs that fit through the leg leathers to help hold and control a falconer's bird prior to release when hunting.

Single little egret still present on the lake today also 25 goosanders and 4cormorant and the long staying tuftie hanging out with the lakes mallard flock.
