The first 4 Swifts were back over the Lord Nelson in Croston last night. They are a week late coming back.

Yarrow at Croston

For the last 3 days there has been a drake Mandarin with Mallards on the Yarrow at Castle Walks bridge in Croston.

Also I had a Treecreeper in my garden today.

A Green Woodpecker flew into a Silver Birch in my garden today. It sat calling for 5 mins before flying off towards the moss.

Notable sightings were a flock of 200 Linnet near the pond on the Finney, also 100+ Woodpigeon. 2 buzzards circling near Paws and Claws on Meadow Lane. A walk around the Village and Moss yesterday. Single buzzards over the school and Croft field. 2 pairs, one over Drinkhouse and one over Keepers wood.
