Croston twin lakes and sewage works

Just a single Mallard on the south lake.
On the floods and fields near the sewage works were Oystercatcher 2, Lapwing 2, Green Sandpiper, BH Gull c150, Common Gull 5, Jackdaw, Crow, Pied Wagtail, Linnet c20, Reed Bunting
No sign of hoped for Sand Martin

Marsh Harrier 19/2, Pochard 4/3 and Black-tailed Godwit takes us to 114 for the year.

Also seen at Eyes Lane were a pair Goosander on river, Grey Heron, Little Egret, Lapwing Nos had increased to around 50, Buzzard, Kestrel, Skylark, Starling c50, plus singing Chaffinch, Yellowhammer min 3, Corn Bunting and Reed Bunting 2.

Croston sewage works:- The Green Sandpiper was again pottering about on the edge of the flood, but the highlight was a Merlin which flew through skimming the ground as it went on its way. Withnell Fold canal and flashes

Still more water in the flashes but still no birds. A couple of distant Curlew, a lone Skylark and a Buzzard over ere the highlights. Several Song Thrush, a single Mistle Thrush and a single Chaffinch were singing.
