A Little Egret and 3 Shelduck were the only birds of interest down a wet Eyes Lane this afternoon.

Withnell Fold canal and flashes
Five singing Chiffchaff along the canal were the only sign of any migrants. Two Grey Heron, single Lapwing and 10 Black-headed Gulls were the only birds at the flashes. Highlight was a Greenshank flying over Yarrow Reservoir, first picked up on call as it came from the direction of Anglezarke Reservoir, then flew on towards Belmont.
