The first meeting of the new season takes place on Thursday (19th September) at St Mary's parish centre at 7.30 pm.

It will be a return visit by David Winnard who will be talking to us about the Wildlife of North Wales.

Two skeins of Pinkfeet flew west over Cuerden Valley Park this morning, one of 30 birds and one of 17. Info from Andy Leach.

Lower Healey 12.9.19

Mute Swan and 4 male Tufted Duck on bottom lodge. Single female Tufted Duck on top lodge. On the Nab, a Buzzard was being harrassed by Crows, Magpies and Jays. A pristine female Wheatear was fence hopping.

Neville, Clouded Yellows are rare migrants, less than annual in the CDNHS area, and then only one or two except for the occasional irruption year, which are few and far between.

We have only one previous record of Gannet which was on 5th September 1983 of a bird found at Cowling but which also died.
