Jennings Proboscis worm

Anyone have an idea where the supposed pond is in Croston to see the endemic Jennings Proboscis Worm?

Cheers

Bog Asphodel on Anglezarke Moor

Found a single spike of Bog Asphodel on Anglezarke Moor while out the other day. I took a GPS reading of N53 38.331 W002 32.825. Not sure of any records for this in the Chorley Area but it definitely was Bog Asphodel

Fieldfares CLW

Big troop of fieldfare decimating cotoneaster berries in a neighbours garden yesterday. As soon as I get the bins out, the neighbour comes out and they all fly away

Buckshaw Nature Reserves query

I remember seeing a thread about a nature reserve on Buckshaw Village. I can't see any on the map and theres no public footpaths. I fancy checking this area out as I'm housebound because of the snow and can't bike / drive anywhere so walking is only the option. Anyone shed any more light?

owl

If it was a really loud screech which was systematic over periods of time then it would be the Tawny Owl
