Late afternoon check to see if anything had been blown in by the storms. River Douglas levels were the highest I recall for a long time with tide line only about 1m under the bank edges in places ! Highlight (and shock !) of the morning was a *Sandwich Tern on Lower Rivington Reservoir :D First picked up at 915am flying south only about 50m from the road shore. Certainly were easily overlooked but eventually found both *Swallow 3 and *Sand Martin 1 but at the opposite western end. Further Swallow (or one of the same) on wires by level crossing. Also Little Egret 1. Little Egret also on the main Eyes Lane flood. *2 more takes me to 113 species for the year.

One group of *Common Scoter over about 2013 with couple of other possible groups but more distant with breeze making it difficult.
Also Tawny Owl, Teal, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Moorhen, Heron, Snipe and Jackdaw

*Scoter takes me to 108 species for the year.
