Re: Out and about 17/11 am

Had a ramble around Anglezarke today, as John said it was a super day to be out, the moors were especially lovely in the sunshine, with not a single cloud in the sky, unfortunately there wasn't a single bird either! The only birds seen in Lead mine Clough were a Raven overhead, Coal tit and a couple...

Hedgehog

Hopefully it's got time to fatten up a bit more before winter ki...

Anglezarke

Very windy on the moors this morning, apart from a couple of Carrion Crow the only birds seen were 2 Raven doing some acrobatics over Great Hill and a Common Snipe near Round loaf. Sightings were scarce in Lead mine Clough around lunchtime too, probably due to a nearby shooting party, 4 Crossbill fl...

A lovely day for a wander around Anglezarke, with the highlight being an hour long Crossbill fest at Lead mine Clough, roughly 120 birds in total, including a flock of at least 80 that settled briefly in the dead forest before heading off towards the Holt's flat plantation, another flock of c30 bird...
