At least 2 Brambling with a flock of 20+ Chaffinch in the wooded area at the top of Dean Black Brook. male Stonechat and 10+ Reed Bunting at Great hill farm. Red Grouse calling on the moor. It was very misty and atmospheric on the moors today, didn't see many birds, mainly due to the poor visibility. 4 Long tailed Tits flitting around in the heather near Round loaf were an unusual sighting, probably grounded by the fog, also on the moor were a Peregrine falcon and 4 Red Grouse, several...

very small dead Hedgehog on School lane, Brinscall and another small one dead at Withnell Fold, (though how you can go fast enough run over something on such a narrow cobbled street is beyond me)
