I saw this bird several weeks ago singing away outside a nearby care home, but had no camera. This morning it landed in our garden.

10am Stump Lane. It landed on a tree behind the houses before flying back. Managed to get a pic of the back of it, vibrant red flush on side feathers. Will try and add later.

Three hovering over Asda’s carpark (Bolton Rd). The underwing markings of the largest, presumably female seen with naked eye. They went oit of sight quickly after the gulls started mobbing.

Yesterday, late afternoon. Buzzards x2 flying low at the back of the small lodge behind the cafe. Underwing pattern clearly visible with naked eye.
