I was down there this evening ivan, the male swan had 2 cygnets on his back, the other one is probably under mother still?

I had a walk up there today with the dog and they were shooting next to the canal as there were two guys with dogs on the the canal looking for a injured duck what one of the shooting party had shot, they sent there dogs across the canal looking for it, never found it so they left it injured somewhe...

3 buzzards soaring on thermals around whittle quarry and church hill about 3pm one was calling.

2 oystercatchers flying around lower wheelton making there calls past post office up the old dead end blackburn road as i was walking there today around 15:15pm.

Peregrine on morrisons chimney about 17:45pm as i was going in to the super market don't know if it was sleeping as it was motionless and when i came out i watch it for about 20min did'nt move don't know if it was ill or just sleeping.

3 peregrins at speed flew past my house in whittle about 19:05pm heading towards whittle quarry it was the screeching of one them that alerted me to them.
