Walk up on moors... skylark and meadow pipits, pr partridge, pr red grouse, pr golden plover, kestrel, peregrine, and pr buzzards 'hovering over grain pole hill, one dropped what looked like a stone!

Walk up Dean Black Brook from White Coppice, onto round loaf on to Great hill and then back down. Thanks for this Andy. This was right in front of the patio window!! Also one at the bottom of garden. I suspect the very cold weather brought them out but I suspect they are around at night. What do we do about discouraging them? Should we call the council? Really concerned about health and safety. ...

Garden activity ID help please
Had fun watching the icicles melt and birds flood the garden for food. Usual garden birds, blue tits, great tits, sparrows, dunnocks, wood-pigeon, collared dove, goldfinch and 4 blackbirds, 4 robins... and highlight of the year...pr of siskins, first for our garden! Also small rodents... house mouse...

Plenty activity at the feeding station...Blackbird, plenty of blue tit, great tit, chaffinch, a robin and a pair of reed bunting.

Magpie attack
This afternoon we were watching a chaffinch feeding on the patio, when a magpie swooped on it and carried it off onto a neighbours roof!! The last we saw of it were its feathers fluttering down onto the patio!
