2 buzzard , not seen any young kestrel this time , 4 mute swan and a juv moorhen , 3 skylark , several reed bunting , only heard 1 yellowhammer and corn bunting , 25 stock dove , lapwing flock still present ( around 100 with several juv spotted ) , 5 mistle thrush , blue tit family , several whiteth...

Peregrines .

One spotted perched on the northbound bridge on the M6 over the manchester ship canal yesterday morning and another seen in flight at nearby knutsford in the afternoon .

Osprey.

Just seen an osprey at croston twin lakes ( 8.30am ) it was being mobbed by a common tern and a oystercatcher it hovered briefly over the first lake before heading off towards eyes lane , there as been an osprey seen regular around the mere sands area in the last few weeks . Osprey brings my chorley...

I was feeling the same john but just thought they were breeding and not as easy to see because of vegetation along the brook .

Buzzards moving in to the villages !

Reports of a buzzard taking a woodpigeon/young off the nest in a garden in eccleston in the last couple of days , i have seen buzzards patrolling over gardens in the village on several occasions, also seen tawny owl and sparrowhawk taking collard dove chicks off the nest .

3 whitethroat , 2 yellowhammer , 1 sedge warbler , 5 mistle thrush , the flight pond held 4 shelduck , 1 heron and lots of dragonflies .

Croston twin lakes / sewage works area .

The shelducks appeared to have only 1 young in tow , 3 adult gc grebes with 2 young , 1 common tern , moorhen , coot , 2 sedge warbler , lapwing .
