Upper / lower healy lodges , 5 coot , 3 tufted duck , 1 male bullfinch .

Went in hope of a woodcock sighting but drew a blank , birds heard and seen 12 mallard , teal heard late on , 2 heron , 2 male tawny owl heard .

Misty conditions , only managed 3 stonechat , heard several snipe , heard a goldfinch , 1 buzzard , 3 kestrel , small numbers of skylark , 2 song thrush , 1 mistle thrush , around 100 redwing / fieldfares , large distant flock of corvids , small flock of lapwing , 5 linnet .

2 new ticks great spotted woodpecker and treecreeper also 1 grey wagtail , redwings , buzzard , blue and great tits .year list up to 73 species .

Eyes lane .

The shooting had just started on my arrival but there were still plenty of birds around , 3 buzzard , merlin , kestrel , sparrowhawk , lots of snipe being flushed , good size flock of skylark and starlings , mallards on the river , whooper swans , lapwings and shelduck still on the flooded field .

Single oystercatcher on the flooded field was the highlight of the visit ( early arrival ) also 4 gc grebes , 1 tufted duck , several mallard , 1 snipe , plenty of bh gulls , several herring gulls and a few large imm gulls , 40 lapwing passed over , 3 goldcrest , several robin and pied wagtails , go...

Large flock of around 300 redwing ( small numbers of fieldfare ) feeding on open fields at mawdesley this afternoon ,sparrowhawk and a pair of displaying kestrel .

Definite woodpigeon Ian , also spotted the dead drake mallard .
