Tincklers fields, Eccleston.

3 Chiff Chaffs, one Chiff chaffing and 2 together at the Lilly pond. 4 Swallows flying around Syd Brook Hall farm, several Meadow Pipits flying over heading west also singles of Cormorant, Heron, Buzzard and Kestrel a Tawny Owl was seen yesterday morning.

Tincklers fields, Eccleston.

A late Common Whitethroat was seen also 2 Buzzards, 2 Moorhen and 8 Swallows. Yesterday 2 Ravens were seen heading South East, a single Snipe flew over and a Kestrel also a juvenile hobby perched in a tree.

Still a juvenile Hobby around Gary I saw one this morning (11-15ish) on Tincklers fields being mobbed by a Magpie, just managed to get a blurred shot as they disappeared into the trees.

Hi Lydia, the House Martins that nest in Anchorfields Eccleston were still flying in and out of their nests this morning as well, probably a second brood, it's nice to see them doing well this year.

Tincklers Fields, Eccleston

A Hobby was heard calling and then seen briefly in flight, c25 Swallows were seen feeding low over the field next to Syd Brook Lane and c60 Goldfinch there too, also seen 3 Yellowhammer, 1 Buzzard, 6 House Martins and a Jay.

Just read on Facebook that there is a Gannet at YVP pics posted as well, not sure if its a wind up? Good Chorley tick if it's true! No sign of Little Egret this morning, An adult Hobby flew over that small meadow at tree top height, great view but too quick to get a pic.

Gary, going by its bill and leg colour - all black-its an adult, probably a non breeding bird. In juveniles the bill is more greyish and the legs paler or greenish. It doesn't look in pristine condition though does it, body feathers are light brown instead of white as you'd expect, I suppose it coul...

Little Egret on field opposite Eccleston Cricket Club off Doctors Lane still there 7-35, Bird right next to road when I saw it at 6-30 this morning by 7-30 it had moved further in towards the center.

Sorry about the rushed text, just to clarify entering Tincklers Lane from Doctors Lane it's the public footpath on your left opposite Tincklers house, the Egret was about half way along the field on your left. That's Eccleston of course.

A flock of 40+ Goldfiinch there this morning also 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Nuthatch, 1 Buzzard and a Gt. Spotted Woodpecker.

Tincklers Fields, Eccleston

A Tawny Owl was calling early this morning, also this morning 4 Buzzards 2 on the Cricket pitch and 2 in trees, 3 Jays and 8 Goldfinch. Yesterday a small flock of 31 Swallows seen heading East, a Raven was seen on Wednesday also heading East.
