Only 4 toads died overnight in what were perfect conditions for toad movement, so I am calling a halt to patrols for this year. Ward's Reservoir 17th night patrolled 18.04.24 - 9 Toads saved (all were heading away from the reservoir).

Probable Lesser Clover Leaf Weevil (Hypera nigrirostris) found in my Great Knowley Garden today. If correct it could be only the second one of this species (the only other was an unconfirmed specimen) in the Chorley Nats area as recorded in the NBN database. The Godwits flew off west at 10.22, also seen were a female Sparrowhawk, 10 Swallows, 1 House Martin and a singing Common Whitethroat at Great Hanging Bridge Compound.
