Eaves Lane, Chorley - 1 House Martin at St. Peter's club and 2 more further along Eaves Lane. I had an early morning visit to see a few special birds ( from the Eric Morecambe and Allen hides). The Spotted Redshank in breeding plumage and the Spoonbill were a no show, as was the Green Winged Teal, but I did manage to see a very distant American Wigeon and a Knot beginning to develop its summ...

Thanks John & Neville, I went there last night after work but could not find it. I had more luck tonight, only the occasional low volume burst of song, but I managed to see it and get an half decent photograph. Other birds seen and heard over both visits, were 1 Blackcap, 2 Willow Warbler, 3 Chiffch...
