Whilst on an archaeological dig on the island, several hundred flew in on Thursday 29th September.

Blue Tit With Huge Curved Beak

As you may know, I've posted on here a few times and met some of the members.

This sighting was in my garden in Walton-le-Dale, so just outside the CDNH area, I thought it might be of interest as I wondered if anyone on the forum has seen anything similar?

Lots of activity today with 2 pairs of LT Tits building, one nest was at least 40ft high in the fork of a tree and a wren building too. The lake had its usual crew with a pair of Buzzards circling overhead. Other birds: GS Woodpecker x 2; both drumming, Kestrel, Kingfisher, Nuthatches, Tree Creepers...
